What I'm doing now

Most Days, a journaling app with good sharing features.

A big part of the work is a local-replica sync engine (a partial projection of the server database) that decouples data mutations from the network, enabling offline capability and instant interface feedback.

What I love

• Understanding how systems work — SQL engines, distributed systems.
• Products with good design — Linear, Bear, the MacBook.
• History, biology, business, technology — and how they connect to each other.

What I hate

• Badly maintained code.
• Social media. I quit Instagram two years ago.
• Medical care you can't afford. Education that isn't free.

What I want to do in 2026

• Launch my first product on the App Store.
• Start fishing.
